Just so you know a little bit about me, my name is Timothy Oxendale, I am 26 years old and I was born and raised in Blackburn, Lancashire. I moved from Blackburn, down to the Midlands over 6 years ago and I am now living in Bilston, Wolverhampton, West Midlands. I spend a lot of my time working in and around Birmingham.
I have been designing websites since I was 14 years old, but as a professional freelance web designer and developer for over 5 years.
I am available to work on new projects, if you would like to discuss this with me, then please do get in touch and I can have a chat about your project in a bit more detail. I am also available for work with agencies across the Midlands, get in touch for my day rate.
I work with a wide range of clients, from small one man bands, right up to huge multi-national companies and charities such as Dyson, Mitsubishi & the Scout Association. So if you will excuse the cliché, there is no client too big or too small. I aim to have a great relationship with all my clients where I can add value to their business by being dependable, honest and by doing the type of work that makes a difference. I will always recommend a solution I think will work best for your business.
I’ll be offering my services pro-bono, to charities or non-profit organisations in and around the Midlands. I’ll be doing this one day every 2 months. Get in contact if you feel you could benefit from this service.
I have a simplified design style, I believe design should work with content, not dominate it. The same can be said for how I build websites. I like to keep my website markup clean and optimised for search engines. I believe usability is an integral part of the design and development process and something I’m constantly striving to improve.
I carefully calculate the carbon emissions produced as a result of my web site server being on 24 hours a day, computer for 8 hours a day, lighting, transport and a few other bits I then offset these emissions by planting trees in the West Midlands. As the trees I plant are young, and will absorb much more carbon as they grow, I insure the long term goal of being carbon positive.
I built my computer specifically to use as little power as possible while still allowing me to work efficiently and fast, I also use two A energy performance rated monitors and A rated peripherals.
My office has large windows to allow natural daylight into my working area and when the natural light levels get low I take advantage of the latest LED luminaires that offer excellent energy savings.
When I need to get out and about I drive a Kia Rio that gets about 70mpg.
All my standard paper and media come from well managed sustainable forests with FSC or PEFC certifications.

More than 90% of my business comes from repeat customers and referrals due to my outstanding customer service. All of my websites come with a technical guarantee and I offer full training and support, with access to my growing ‘How to’ guides for all of my clients.
Once your new website is live I do not abandon you! I will be there to provide you with backups should you have a problem or require an alteration for your site.
If you’re based in Wolverhampton or the surrounding areas (Birmingham, Walsall, Dudley, Kidderminster, Coventry, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth & Telford), you’re perfectly placed to arrange a face-to-face meeting with me and able to deliver an outstanding web-site that’s tailored to your business.
Years of know-how in real world marketing, coupled with what I know about design, coding and internet marketing, means I can confidently say that I know what it takes to help build successful online businesses.
There are so many ways that I can help your business achieve its online goal; from optimising it for Google to producing high-quality video content, highly-effective email newsletters or traditional offline marketing (print, radio and tv ads).
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is crucial if you want your website to be found above the competition. All of my websites are structured for optimum performance on Google, following their Webmaster Guidelines.
When your web site is published for the first time it is only the beginning. SEO should be considered as an ongoing process. I can undertake the necessary works and tasks for you, or I am more than happy to give tuition if you’d prefer to do it yourself.
Website DevelopmentMy standard of web applications is second-to-none, and I employ the most rigorous and reliable testing practises possible. British made, reliable and web application development is the key to the success of your project.
Web HostingI can host your site on a server dedicated to my clients. Making sure sudden increases in traffic won’t cause your site to be bogged down.
There are hundreds and thousands of web design companies out there, in all shapes and sizes. From huge multinational corporations to tiny boutique design studios, and just about everything in between. I’m willing to bet that because you’ve found my website and you are reading this then you have done your research and decided using a freelancer is the best fit for you and your business.
There are massive advantages to using a freelance designer such as myself over a larger company. You may already know some, but if not, here’s a few to get you thinking.

I follow a well-defined process for Web development, based on professional development methodology. To accomplish software and application development, I initiate by understanding the needs of my customers, efficiently identifying the specifications, proposing best possible solutions and documenting and everything to avoid ambiguity.
I then present the unique design based on the specifications and I take those eye-catching graphics and integrate the back-end functionality. I follow the Agile Development Methodology so my clients get updates on each and every milestone and based on approvals I move towards the completion and achieve the business objectives of my clients.
